My series 'Colors' is inspired by Latin American cities and their favelas. I aesthetically transform Latin American urban landscapes not only through vibrant colors but also through textures provided by the usage of three-dimensional recycled materials.
Through my art, I want to bring the variety of colors and joy of Latin American cultures into the homes around the world.
.technique
The colors of the city enable the artist to bring chromatic variety into life, into art.
The urban motifs: buildings, houses, “favelas” or slums are an excuse for studying colors.
Collages on canvas with acrylic painting on three-dimensional recycled materials like cardboard boxes, cloths, corrugated carton, strings, and others.
Diversity on color combination and singularity of each work give life to unique art pieces within a unified thematic thread.

The creative process you meet in the art of ANAIS is very inspiring in its vitality, brilliant colors, and the idea which is behind it. Everybody who has been to South America feels the soul of the continent in these paintings and the one who has not been there feeling the desire to be in touch with the vibrant life of this part of the world, the warm-hearted people and breath-taking landscapes. ANAIS gives also a strong appreciation to the constructors of the „favelas“, as great architects, doing with a minimum of resources a piece of art. I always feel joy when I look at her works, and so say my friends in Austria and Switzerland who are owners of the creative work of ANAIS.
